Chris and Adrienne Scott, Photographers | Nashville Wedding & Portrait Photographers bio picture
  • well hello there.

Thanks for stopping by, we're glad you came! We're Nashville portrait and wedding photographers, Chris & Adrienne Scott, a husband and wife photography team. We live outside of Nashville, Tennessee with our Boston Terrier, Wilson. Here are a few random facts about us:

    - We met while in school at James Madison University, in Virginia
    - We tied the knot on December 13, 2008 at Owen Chapel in Brentwood, TN
    - We distinctly remember the wedding planning process and don't envy our wedding couples at all
    - We were both band geeks in school, Adrienne on oboe and tuba, and Chris on trumpet
    - Chris is a terrible dancer, but will make an attempt to bust a move at your reception anyway
    - Adrienne talks in her sleep and will sometimes hold entire conversations
    - We're both Navy brats although Adrienne spent most of her life in Northern Virginia while Chris has lived in Hawaii, the Philippines, California, Virginia, West Virginia and Tennessee
    - In our free time we like to take Wilson to the dog park and go to the drive-in movies
    - We love to laugh, and do so almost non-stop
    - We absolutely love what we do and we take our jobs, but not ourselves, very seriously

The Dorr Family | Franklin Family Portraits

The Dorr’s won a free session and canvas collection in an auction benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of Middle Tennessee a couple of months back.  We had a great time chasing the kids, bribing them with candy and pretty much just acting like kids ourselves for an hour or so last week.  Here are a few of our favorites from their session.

Janie Luna - What a lucky family to win this session and get these fabulous pictures…I love the two boys in the grass but as usual, they are all great!

Patrick Bonner | Nolensville Portrait Photography

Patrick is a good friend of ours from church who happens to also be a phenomenal musician.  He wanted some images to use for promo purposes, so we drove around Nolensville a couple of weeks ago and laughed, made mildly inappropriate jokes and took a lot of photos.  Then we had Mexican food… which pretty much sums up my opinion of the best Sunday afternoon ever.

Happy Thursday,

chris.

Cheryl Bryant - Great photo’s Patrick! Great to keep up with you & Brenda through facebook. Zack Lamb really liked you when we lived in Nashville! He’s engaged to be married next May 14 in GA but he lives in Charleston, SC.

Sam L. | Franklin Senior Portrait Photography

Sam’s another one of the Centennial High School Football players we photographed a few weeks back and is, actually, the reason we were able to get in with the team there at CHS.  We photographed his sister’s wedding in Franklin last year and jumped at the chance to photograph the team when Sam’s mom asked us.  We only had one condition, that the photos had to look nothing like typical senior photos.  I believe my exact words to her were, “only if we can make them look awesome.”  I think we nailed it.  =)

I know that the CHS team has taken over the blog for a little while, but I promise we’ve got some families, engagements, weddings and some more seniors coming up in the next few days, so check back!

Leah & Eric | Nashville Engagement Session

We did a marathon engagement session with Leah and Eric this past weekend and it was one of my favorite sessions we’ve done for a couple of reasons.  Number one, we absolutely adore this couple, they’re fun, hilarious and just a pleasure to be around.  Two, we did a “theme” of sorts for their engagement session.  They had originally planned to buy a photo book of Nashville sights and use that as a guestbook (which is an awesome idea, really), so we decided to do something a bit more personal and make one for them, featuring images of them at a bunch of the must-see places around our awesome little city.  I don’t even want to mention how long the session went, but it was a blast and worth every minute.  Here are a couple of images from the session.

Oh, they’re not too bad looking, either, are they?

chris.

PS – Yes, I was looking for an excuse to link to that video.

Chance C. | Franklin Senior Portrait Photography

Chance is one of our football players from Centennial High School (yes, now that I officially know more of the football players on their team than I did on my own high school football team, I feel that I can call them “our” football players.:D) and he is a ridunculously nice dude as well as a talented soccer player.  We premiered his images to him a couple of nights ago, so I can post a couple more images than normal.  Check out the sunset on the bottom row, it was crazy.

Happy Monday!

chris.
