{real life: kids} Watson Twins

As you may have noticed over the last few months, we’re officially branching out into more family, children’s, newborn and high school senior photography here and with that we wanted a way to express in words what our style is for family portraiture.  Enter the {real life sessions}!

When you look back at photos of your family or your kids, just like with your wedding, it should take you back to that day in your life.  We want you to remember what your child was like, what her favorite toy was, how his eyes lit up when he discovered something new, all of those things that make your child exactly who he or she is today.   The last thing you should think about when you see a portrait of your family or child is, “oh, this is what little Susie looked like when I dressed her up in that dress she hated, took her to a stuffy portrait studio and made her sit in front of that painting of a field.”  We say put her play clothes on and let’s go find a real field.

With that said, here’s our first official {real life session}, and I can think of no better way to kick it off than with the Watson twins, who are so full of energy, personality and curiosity!  We danced, we rolled around in the grass and we went on a ladybug hunt, and their parents have personal, meaningful modern portraits left from the day to show for it.
